Forearm fractures

Forearm fractures are worrying injuries in football because of the contact nature of the rules. Although modern surgery and technology (such as bone growth stimulators) can make the recovery time for these injuries surprisingly quick, they still suffer a high recurrence rate. The full strength of a fracture is probably not recovered for many months after injury, yet a fracture can get back to 80% surprisingly quickly (a matter of weeks), leaving the return to play decision quite difficult.
